How do you install a toilet below main drain?

I would like to install a toilet in my basement. The room is close to the main drain out to the septic tank but is about 4 feet below it. I’m assuming there is some setup for pumping the matter up to the drain pipe.

water from galvanized plumbing pipes dangerous for health?

we moved to an old house(built in 30s located near los angeles) recently and noticed that water was brown color when I turned the faucet on for the first time. But the brown color slowly went away after about 20 seconds.

previous owner of the house told me that plumbing is mostly galvanized. If i don’t fix it and leave it as is, will it affect our health both short term and long term? We’re planning to live in this house for a long time and we have a baby on the way.
